Design Notes

The maximum parallel duct length to ensure good performance is Lmax 19 m .

Can be combined with any cooktop from the Vario 400 and 400 series.

Maximum cooktop width: 120 cm.

It is recommended to use two remote fan units to ensure sufficient steam extraction.

In European Union countries, due to EU Regulation 66/2014 , recirculation is the only recommended mode.

Depending on the type of installation, the appropriate accessories must be ordered separately.

Recirculation is not recommended in combination with the Vario electric grill.

For optimal performance in recirculation mode, we recommend an outlet cross-sectional area of at least 800 cm × 400 cm per remote fan unit.

Vario cooktops can only be operated without the appliance cover.

The maximum power output of the cooktop is 18 kilowatts.

The ventilation system must have its own cross-section relative to the work surface.

For load-bearing capacity and stability, thinner work surfaces must be supported with appropriate undermounts. Take into account the weight of the appliance and any additional loads.

The remaining portion of the countertop (minimum 50 mm) between the support cutouts must be reinforced. We recommend using furniture supports AA 409 401/431.

Additional instructions for flush mounting:

Installation is possible on stone, synthetic, or solid wood countertops. Ensure heat resistance and that the cut edges are watertight. For other materials, please consult the countertop manufacturer.

Depending on the type of installation, range hoods can be integrated with under-counter ventilation.

When installing a range hood with an air extraction mode and a chimney-vented fireplace, the ventilation unit’s power supply line must be equipped with an appropriate safety switch.

The control unit must be accessible and securely mounted to the cabinet panel to prevent any risk of flooding.
