Design Notes

Depending on the installation type (surface-mounted or flush-mounted, with or without an appliance cover), the specific location of the cutout and the positions of the buttons must be taken into account.

If installing with a VA 440 cover, take into account the additional depth.

If integrating multiple Vario 400 Series devices, install a VA 420 connection strip between the devices. Depending on the installation type, provide the appropriate connection strip.

Load-bearing capacity and stability: For thinner work surfaces, provide support using appropriate substructures. Take into account the material and additional loads.

Additional instructions for mounting the plate:

Installation is possible on stone, synthetic, or solid wood countertops. Ensure precise measurements and waterproof sealing of the cut edges. For other materials, please consult the countertop manufacturer.

The groove must be continuous and uniform to ensure even distribution of pressure on the gasket. Do not use a discontinuous groove.

The width of the joint may vary due to dimensional tolerances of the fittings and the cut of the countertop.

If multiple appliances are installed in individual cutouts, a minimum spacing of 50 mm between the individual cutouts is required.

Ensure a minimum lateral clearance of at least 100 mm from adjacent heat-sensitive furniture or the wall.

The appliance can be inserted into the countertop from above.
