Design Notes

Depending on the installation type (countertop or built-in), the specific location of the cutout and the button positions may vary.

The horizontal placement of the buttons may be aligned with specific cooking zones.

Follow the “Control Button Installation” diagram if the panel thickness exceeds 23 mm (a rear cutout is required).

If combining multiple Vario 400 Series appliances, install a VA 420 connection bar between the appliances. Depending on the installation type, provide the appropriate connection bar.

Load-bearing capacity and stability: For thinner work surfaces, provide support using appropriate substructures. Take into account the appliance’s weight and any additional loads.

Additional instructions for flush mounting:

Installation is possible on stone, synthetic, or solid wood work surfaces. Ensure heat resistance and that the cut edges are watertight. For other materials, please consult the work surface manufacturer.

The groove must be continuous and uniform to ensure the appliance is positioned evenly on the gasket. Do not use a non-continuous groove.

The width of the joint may vary due to dimensional tolerances of the fittings and the cut of the countertop.

If installing multiple appliances in individual cutouts, a minimum spacing of 50 mm between the individual cutouts is required.

Works only with magnetic (induction) pots and pans. For optimal heat distribution, we recommend using cookware with a sandwich-style bottom.
