Design Notes

The maximum duct length to ensure optimal performance is Lmax 26 m .

One remote fan unit is recommended for each VL .

Maximum cooktop width between two VLs: 80 cm , except for the CX 482.

Vario-type cooktops, such as the Vario Electric Grill and Vario Gas Wok, must be positioned between two VLs.

Recirculation is not recommended in combination with the Vario Electric Grill.

For optimal recirculation performance, we recommend an outlet cross-sectional area of at least 400 cm.

If operated near gas appliances, the AA 414 010 ventilation kit is recommended to ensure maximum cooktop performance.

The appliance can be installed into the countertop from above.

Depending on the installation type (countertop or built-in), the specific location of the cutout and the button positions may vary.

If combining multiple Vario 400 Series appliances, a VA 420 connection strip must be placed between the appliances. Depending on the installation type, the appropriate connection strip must be provided.

For thinner work surfaces, ensure load-bearing capacity and stability by using appropriate support structures. Take into account the weight of the device and any additional loads.

Additional instructions for flush mounting:

Installation is possible on stone, synthetic, or solid wood work surfaces. Ensure heat resistance and that the cut edges are watertight. For other materials, please consult the work surface manufacturer.

The groove must be continuous and uniform to ensure the appliance is positioned evenly on the gasket. Do not use a non-continuous groove.

The width of the joint may vary due to dimensional tolerances of the fittings and the cutout in the countertop.

When installing a range hood with an exhaust mode and a chimney-vented fan, the power supply line for the ventilation unit must be equipped with an appropriate safety switch.
